    The Festival encourage people to park in Warkworth Arena - 24 East     St, Warkworth, ON K0K 3K0 - and enjoy the ride in one of the busses in         and out all day during the event.

Centred around the finish area at Barrett Street Bridge and Cavan Street, the event village will offer entertainment and activities, as well as the chance to watch the participants float over the last rapids section of the course. Live commentary will be provided, as well as some additional entertainment on the water.

Spectators and visitors will be able to enjoy food and drinks from one of the many vendors along the banks, or make the short walk into the town for shopping or bars.

The roots of the festival go back 51 years ago when a small art and craft show was held on beautiful Victoria Beach for Canada Day in 1967. The event included a fireworks display put on by local fire fighters to celebrate Canada's Centennial.

We are forecasting more than 3000 people to join us in a day of celebration at the Memorial Park Band Shell, June 29, 2019 with the new Multicultural Festival and Gourmet Ethno-Food Truck Fair from 11:00am to 9:00pm.

The festival will showcase Multiculturalism and Anti-Racism Initiatives by building bridges to promote intercultural understanding, promoting equal opportunity for individuals of all origins and promoting citizenship, civic engagement and a healthy democracy and will have a big impact in all four pillars of our society – people, business, nonprofit and government – to celebrate the ways in which we work together to make Northumberland a prosperous and diverse community.

A colourful day of music and food will enrich the multicultural experience:

  • Gourmet Ethno-Food Trucks Fair. Enjoy Foods from around the world in one place!
  • Over than a dozen multicultural performances from all ages!
  • 7 local groups performing music from Ireland to Latin-America, including Salsa classes!
  • A concert featuring Jerry Rivera, a Grammy Award and Latin Grammy Award-nominated Puerto Rican salsa singer and songwriter!
  • A unique Laser Show!
