The Immigration Portal Project

Through funding from the Municipal Immigration Information Online (MIIO) program of the Ministry of Citizenship, Immigration and International Trade, Northumberland County's immigration portal was developed in 2012 and  launched in April 2013. The portal project was developed by the County's Economic Development & Tourism department, which also continues to manage and maintain the portal.

Community Stakeholders Working Committee

A Community Stakeholders Working Committee, composed of community volunteers, provided collective input as development of the portal project progressed. We are grateful to the following members of the portal's steering committee:

Updating Portal Content

Additional content development, particularly for the sections on Outdoor Recreation and Environment and Nature, was provided to us by Pam Lancaster, Stewardship Technician at Ganaraska Region Conservation Authority.

We welcome contribution from agencies and community members that will enhance or update the Portal's content. Please send us an e-mail if you want to be a part of this undertaking.

Ontario's Municipal Francophone Immigration Website

Northumberland County, being a MIIO partner, is also part of Ontario's Francophone Immigration website. Visit our webpage in French.
